An interesting blend of grapes aged in elegant French Oak
A meticulous blend of the 40% Syrah, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Petit Verdot and 17% Malbec and 6% Merlot varieties, from the oldest vines from the Campo Martuela and El Casar de La Guardia estates. A unique and limited edition of the red Martué that is only made when the vintage is exceptional..
Intense cherry red colour with an interesting structure. The aroma is complex and intense, black fruits, hay, truffle, cocoa, dry wood, earth with exquisite minerality. On the palate it is fruity with a certain freshness. Well-polished, it perfectly combines the fruit with minerality and elegance. It’s a bold wine, and it will be for a long time.
The vintage: a dry and cold winter, a rainy spring with mild temperatures that allowed the vines to sprout vigorously and have enough reserves to withstand a hot summer with hardly any rain. The production was excellent quality.
Harvesting the grapes at their optimum moment of maturation at night harvest. Artisanal elaboration, fermentation with native yeasts, long macerations. The wine has aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
D.O. Pago wine: is the highest qualification contemplated by Spanish legislation on wine, above the Denomination of Origin. The concept of Pago applied to wine refers to a vineyard located in a special enclave, with unique soils and a privileged climate that gives the wine unique qualities. Only 21 wineries in Spain have this distinction.
