Unique, full bodied, and beautifully balanced

This barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc is a full bodied, elegant and beautifully balanced wine. Floral notes combine with guava, gooseberry and pear on the palate along with an underlying minerality. A very unique Sauvignon Blanc and expression of the unique terroir.

Winemaker Samantha O’Keefe produced this wonderful wine against all odds. In 2019 a fire destroyed part of her vineyards and all of her finished wine. She had to select wines from different vineyards in Stellenbosch, with 15% also coming from the upper Hemel-en- Aarde valley in Hermanus, whose grapes resembled those lost from her vineyard. The wine had extended less contact to contribute further to the rounder mouth feel and creaminess of this elegantly textured wine. The wine was then aged for nine months.
