Lalande-de-Pomerol – Bordeaux

Château Sergant 2022 is a well-defined Lalande-de-Pomerol crafted mainly from Merlot, complemented by smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc. Sourced from gravelly and sandy-clay soils, the grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve purity and freshness. The wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels, with approximately 25% new wood, allowing for integration without overt oak influence. It presents ripe black cherry and plum flavours, supported by firm yet polished tannins and a touch of mineral edge. This is a focused and balanced wine with a classic right-bank profile and good aging potential.
