Third growth estate established in the 18th century.
Classic nose, with intense cassis fruit, and a good deal of new oak that is stylishly integrated. Shows the fragrance of Margaux and very good vineyard depth. Has the opulence of the vintage without being too obvious and one-dimensional.
The dense purple-hued 2009 exhibits a beautiful nose of blueberry liqueur, acacia flowers, liquorice, blue and black fruits, graphite and wood smoke. Flowery and elegant as well as exceptionally pure, admirably concentrated and rich.
