Silky cassis with hints of oak smoke.
The wine is a brilliant dark damson colour, with a ruby red rim. Whilst dark cherries, cassis and ripe plums jump out of the glass initially, there are wonderful undertones of red berries, nettles and mint that offer a complex multi layered nose. The palate echoes this with stunning flavours of dark cherries, black currant and offers hints of a savoury saltiness too. The wine has a lingering finish with clean silky tannins and a touch of oak sweetness.
