This Riesling is a bright, pale straw colour with flashes of green. The nose is fresh and appealing with splashes of freshly squeezed lime juice and lemon blossom while on the palate this wine offers a fresh, crispness and appeal with loads of zesty citrus. The palate is long and defined running straight down the centre of the tongue to a finish that sings with crisp acidity.
Great wines begin in the vineyard and it is the quality fruit grown at the Kayena Vineyard that form the foundation of the Tamar Ridge and Devil’s Corner range of wines. Located on the western banks of the Tamar River, forty kilometres north of Launceston, the Kayena Vineyard is planted to a range of cool climate varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Their vision is to produce premium quality wines highlighting the flavour, structure and elegance that are the hallmarks of true Tasmanian cool climate winemaking.
